I have so few passions in my life that an outsider might think of me as boring and old, but I am a very happy camper, if I am by water with a book, a glass of wine and a wedge of cheese!
So why is it that the 20 and 30 year olds of our time, do not want to read anymore? Whatever happened to the intrigue of characters in a story that you start to love and feel like they are like family by the time you finish the book? Are books being replaced by videos? I so hope not!
If we are at the point, in our younger generations that we have to make reading more fun and interactive, then why not introduce them to American Slide-Chart products. Milk Carton Pop-up. Mailed flat in an envelope and when the user opened the envelope, a rubber band activated milk carton popped up into their hands! Included a die cut hole for a straw or pencil. Coming from The American Dairy Association, this pop-up advised the right degree to keep milk cold in a fun way!

I have a niece that goes away to camp every summer. This year instead of sending her simple postcards, I decided to create a few pop-ups to send.
I created this double polyhedron (based loosely on my Kerywn Pop-Up I created for Svengoolie) and turned it into a giraffe. My niece Holly loves giraffes and wrote me to comment on it.
It's always nice to think you look cool in the eyes of your brother's kids!
